Asia Best City 2009

Asia’s number one city this year, Ubud, is home to just over 8,000 inhabitants who, unsurprisingly perhaps, earn the highest score of any destination—city or island—for Friendliness.

The Conde Nast Traveler’s overall score is compiled from ratings of several categories, including atmosphere, art and culture, accommodation and the friendliness of local people.
